Someone just beat hades for the first time, 5 years after the game’s release.
“But Randy,” I hear you ask, “the game has been out for five YEARS! It’s incredibly popular!” Some of you may be thinking “even I have beaten hades!”, but here’s the thing -
You haven’t.
You’ve probably beaten the main story, maybe even got to a few levels of heat on the pact of punishment. Was it 1? 5? Maybe even 10?
For the first time ever, someone beat a 64 heat hades run without mods or a seed. I’ll link the video here:
This might be one of the most insane things I’ve watched, ESPECIALLY after the “here’s why 64 heat hades is impossible” video 😂😂
i’ve updated my fruit sticker shapes a bit so that my sticker machine can handle em, now that i need to restock em! plus added a disability pride sticky!!
he has sort of a presence to him
obsessed with Her.
Yes, this is the true ending 🌱
i’m in my cheesy 80’s fantasy era
Good to know we all have the same brain cell here
We’re winning.
I found his bio on societyofpresidentialdescendants.org and it was so delightful I had to copy paste the whole thing:
“Ulysses Grant Dietz grew up in Syracuse, New York, where his Leave it to Beaver life was enlivened by his fascination with vampires, from Bela Lugosi to Barnabas Collins. He studied French at Yale (BA, 1977), and was trained to be a museum curator in the University of Delaware’s Winterthur Program in American Material Culture (MA, 1980). A decorative arts curator at the Newark Museum for thirty-seven years before he retired, Ulysses has never stopped writing for the sheer pleasure of it. Aside from books on Victorian furniture, art pottery, studio ceramics, jewelry, and the White House, Ulysses created the character of Desmond Beckwith in 1988 as his personal response to Anne Rice’s landmark novels. Alyson Books released his first novel, Desmond, in 1998. Vampire in Suburbia, the sequel, appeared in 2012. His most recent novel, Cliffhanger, was released by JMS Books in December 2020.
“Ulysses lives in suburban New Jersey with his husband of 45 years. They have two grown children, adopted in 1996.
“Ulysses is a great-great grandson of Ulysses S. Grant. His late mother, Julia, was the President’s last living great-grandchild; youngest daughter of Ulysses S. Grant III, and granddaughter of the president’s eldest son, Frederick. Every year on April 27 he gives a speech at Grant’s Tomb in New York City. He is also on the board of the U.S. Grant Presidential Library and Museum at Mississippi State University.”
And frankly, the novels sound like they slap:
Desmond was nominated for a Lambda Award.
“With his husband of 45 years.” You kids don’t know … they got together before AIDS, at the peak of the Gay Glam Life. They stayed together as their generation died around them, and made through it to the point where they could marry and have a legal family. He looks like a chipper preppie who never had a serious thought or care in the world, but it took *incredible* determination, commitment, and also luck to get here.
Between Ryan Gosling Ken and Benoit Blanc I’m starting to think that it’s some sort of animal abuse to keep casting big name actors in stoic macho manly man rolls instead of giving them goofy little guys to play. Like look at them their coats are shiny, they seem so much more lively and energetic. We need to make sure all actors have enough goofy little guys to play before peta gets involved.
I never want to hear conservatives go on about repressive censorship in China, North Korea, and Iran ever again
To be clear to those unfamiliar: these are the companies that libraries use to lend ebooks.
They are literally cutting off library access to minors.
If you are affected by this or other bans and restrictions in the United States, be aware that the Brooklyn Public Library is offering free digital library cards to anyone age 13-21 nationwide as part of their Books UnBanned initiative:
BOOOOOST
Seattle has joined them:
I love this from these libraries but what communities like this (like mine; our library was defunded from 2 million to 1 million dollars in 2022) I really need for younger people to start voting for Democrats for the state legislatures (and everything else, but state legislatures as a START) so we can undo this stuff. 😭
Elvira, Pee Wee and Traci Lords.
Periodic reminder that unless a person specifically and clearly tells you it is okay to tell others they are trans or queer, you should err on the side of caution and assume they do not want you to tell people (especially random people!) about their transness or queerness.
You have no idea, generally, why somebody doesn’t talk openly about their trans or queer status, and you have no idea, truly, how somebody might react to that information. The most progressive person out there is still capable of harbouring incredibly negative thoughts about somebody’s queer status.
they really brought david tenant’s son in and said hey do you want to play a gay little boy in good omens 2. just a little camp mf. nepotism done right.
#bro was in it for 3 minutes and was somehow the gayest character in the show #in the very gay show
